Guide for Accurate Measuring

If you don’t own a measuring tape, there are several free apps for mobile phones and printable measuring tapes on the internet; such as Printable-ruler.net, which also provides instructions for printer settings.

Most of the customization is from selecting images, but we do need a few basics that build the foundation of the calculation and custom fit.  Please remember to measure and select images on how you look TODAY. So many women order swimwear hoping to be down that last few pounds, or if you are like me, I just don’t want to own that last few pounds that I have been trying to lose for the last 10 years.  A custom fit depends on you being honest with how you LOOK TODAY, and embrace being SEXY TODAY, and when you lose those last few pounds then reward yourself with not just a new swimsuit, but a new wardrobe!

Measuring Your Shoulders

Stand with arms down by your side, and measure one inch down from the top of your shoulder.  Take this measurement snugly enough around your shoulders so that the tape measure doesn’t slip. Measure and round up to the nearest ½ inch.

Measuring Your Bust

Wearing your best fitting non-padded bra, measure around the back and over the fullest part of the breast.  Typically, you can use your nipples as your guide, unless you have unusually high or low nipples. Please make sure the tape measure is straight across your back. Take this measurement snugly enough so that the tape measure doesn’t slip.  Exhale, hold loosely, measure, and round up to the nearest ½ inch.

Measuring Your Chest

Remove your bar and measure around the back meeting at the front directly under the breasts. Pull snug and exhale, measure, and round up to the nearest ½ inch.

Measuring Your Waist

Measure at the smallest part of your waistline where your body creases you when bending sideways. Take this measurement snugly enough so that the tape measure doesn’t slip.  Exhale, hold loosely, measure and round up to the nearest ½ inch.

Measuring Your Hips

This number is determined by measuring around the widest part of the hip area. It’s different for everyone, but it’s approximately one inch above the crotch line. With heels together measure around the back meeting at the front.  Make sure that the tape measure is straight across the butt and isn’t riding above or below the fullest part. Measure and round up to the nearest 1 inch.

Measuring Your Abdomen

This number is determined by measuring around the widest part between the waist and the hip area. It’s different for everyone, but it’s approximately even with your hip bone crest on each side. With heels together measure around the back meeting at the front.  Make sure that the tape measure is straight across the abdomen. Relax, measure snugly and round up to the nearest 1 inch.

Measuring Crotch Rise

If you are wanting your bottoms to fit in the front high enough to cover a scar or stretch marks, then you need to measure the distance from your crotch up to the area that you would like to cover within a ¼ inch.  As you will see in the details of our suits, we identify the crotch rise per suit to ensure they fit you just perfectly!
